Disclaimer
The information shared in this blog post has been gathered from followers who have personally gone through the process. I do not claim that this is the most accurate or up-to-date guidance. It is essential that you carry out your own research and contact the Department of Education directly for the most current and official information.

Important Notes (Straight from the Department)
Incremental credit is not an automatic entitlement. You must apply for it using the official form.
You must be:
Serving in a recognised teaching post in a school in the Republic of Ireland
On the Department of Education or ETB payroll
One application form is required per employer, but submit them together (do not separate).
You must meet the conditions of Circulars 10/01, 29/07, and 29/10. Only applications that meet these criteria will be awarded credit.
Incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications may be rejected, and you’ll have to start over, so follow the instructions carefully.
How to Apply
Read and complete your section of the application form. Click here.
Send it to your school/organisation to complete their part.
The completed form should be scanned and submitted to:
📧 Email: incrementalcredit@education.gov.ie
📮 Or by post: Primary Payments Section or Special Education Section, Department of Education & Science, Cornamaddy, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.
Tips to Avoid Delays
You can only apply once you are employed in a recognised post in Ireland and on the Department/ETB payroll.
If you have multiple employers, submit one form per employer in one batch.
Applications won’t be considered unless they follow the official procedure.
Read the relevant circulars carefully to check your eligibility before applying.
